2005 Raffle Results

 

Wow!!!!!!  We have fabulous news!!!!!!!  Thanks to all of the very dedicated NCWFP volunteers, we raised an astonishing amount at the NC-AWWA conference this year.  I'm not sure if it was Chris Belk's plea at the meeting for us to raise $1,500 more by the end of the year, or if it was the enthusiasm of our committee, or the generosity of others.....I suspect it was all three.  I'm pleased to announce that we raised....

 

$1,092!!!

 

We set a new record!   Many thanks to Curamericas for the donation of the items, and we want to thank each of you for all of your help!

 

Rumor has it that there were a few people who deserve an honorable mention for this effort.  Special thanks go to:

 

- Chris deBarbadillo for helping to lead/organize the effort, and for giving her time to NCWFP at this conference.  We recognize that Chris has limited availability now that she's a mom and has relocated, so we are greatly appreciative that she helped make this fundraiser a success.

 

- Crystal Bonge for her enthusiasm and ability to push all of us to sell more tickets at the raffle.  Numerous people commented on Crystal's energy and success at selling these tickets, this is a wonderful vibe to spread around! 

 

- Jim Farrell for his excellent idea to sell tickets Wednesday morning at the taste test contest. This was a huge success, and one that we should consider doing in the future!  Thanks also to Jim for counting all the money and bringing it safely back from the conference!

 

- Chris Belk for challenging all of us to raise an additional $1500 this year.  With the 5S inductee fundraiser, I believe we've exceeded this challenge!

 

- Leila Goodwin raised a considerable amount for us this year as well!
